Antique Art Nouveau Silver Plate The Goldsmiths & Co Muscle Shell Shaped Dish / Server

This stunning antique Art nouveau silver plate/EPNS The Goldsmiths & Co muscle shell shaped dish/server comes in excellent condition, it has some wear associated with age/use and weighs 154g unboxed.  The pictures do not do it justice, it's stamped The Goldsmiths Co, Triple deposit, DUCAL Plate, Reg No. 334132, (dates it to 1899), Newcastle, 2216  please see image 12.  I think it would be a super addition to any table, Goldsmiths Co or silver plate/EPNS collection.

A large business of retail jewellers and silversmiths established in 1880 at 112 Regent Street, London. he original partners were William Gibson and John Lawrence Langman. In 1898 the firm converted into a limited liability company under the style Goldsmiths & silversmiths Co Ltd. The firm was amalgamated in 1952 in Garrad & Co Ltd. the firm used the trade marks DUCAL &  REGENT PLATE.
